Wesley College
The fragmented campus of Wesley College founded in 1873 was built as a junior college that students commuted to. Since then, Wesley has become a liberal arts college and has doubled in size to about 2,500 students, many of whom reside in residence halls. As such, traffic needed to be moved to the perimeter of campus. This streetscape project created a pedestrian-friendly, unified, true college campus in Dover’s historic district. It also improves safety for students by creating a true college campus setting free from cruising cars.
