Our Brand

  • The lines of the E represent the geosynthetic materials or tension-resisting elements used in earth retention projects.
  • The vertical lines of the W represent the pattern of segmented paving.
  • The arrow in the center of the W represents continuous movement forward, growth and setting the bar higher.
  • Hardscape refers to hard landscape materials in the built environment and structures that are incorporated into a landscape.

2000
Edgewood Greenhouses is established, growing flowering plants for local retailers.
2003
Greenhouse collapses under heavy snow and Edgewood Greenhouses is rebranded to Edgewood Hardscapes. Its focus is design / build residential projects.
2006
The Edgewood Company is incorporated and is awarded the first commercial contract.
2008
The residential market is adversely affected by the global financial crises. Business strategies are changed, and our core focus turns to commercial market.
2012
Completes its first large scale multi phased campus project, opening a door into the higher education market.
2015
Completes the Flight 93 Memorial in Stoystown, Pennsylvania. This was the first nationally recognized project and was awarded the best landscape/ hardscape project of the year by ENR. Edgewood also completes its first Washington DC project at the National Gallery of Art.
2017
Earth Retention division is founded designing and building engineered retaining walls.
2019
Company grows by over 60% the preceding year and completes largest project to date in New York metro.
2021
Opens offices in both Washington DC and the Leigh Valley. With active projects in three markets from New York to Virginia.
Today
As we continue to grow one thing remains abundantly clear: Our core mission and scope as a specialty contractor. Earth retention solutions gain back real estate that diverse terrain propose to development. Amenity spaces, streetscapes and memorials become gathering points and places of interest for so many.

  • Developing a safety culture within our company that promotes the management of safety, and to encourage off-the-job safety for our employees.
  • Having a system and process in place to ensure that we have employees capable in safety systems throughout the organization.
  • Receiving feedback from our suppliers and partners to improve our safety performance.
  • Provide all employees with full access to training programs through our Health, Safety and Environmental Department, including first aid, AED, CPR, OSHA 10/30 and general well being.
